Collection and use of data

You do not need to register to use our websites. If you merely access our websites, we do not collect any personal data from you. However, certain information is generated through the use of cookies, as described in the "Use of cookies" section.

In addition, Awardit only collects the personal data from you that is absolutely necessary for the fulfilment of the respective services. As part of our websites, we provide you with the following services, in the context of which personal data is processed as described.

1. Contact forms
Awardit offers visitors to its websites the opportunity to contact Awardit via contact forms. Information such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address are required for an enquiry via these contact forms for the purpose of establishing contact.

2. Career/application forms
Awardit offers the possibility to send application documents via so-called application forms on special landing pages. Basic information such as your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number are required for the application. You also have the option of uploading specific documents, such as your CV, certificates, etc.

3.order forms
Awardit offers the possibility to order Awardit products on special order websites via so-called order forms. To place an order via these order forms, only information that is necessary to fulfil the order, such as your name, your company, your address, your e-mail address and your telephone number, is requested. In addition, more specific information - e.g. your company, etc. - may be provided voluntarily.

4.competition forms
Awardit offers the opportunity to win prizes on special competition websites by answering so-called "competition questions". Only information that is necessary for sending the prize, such as your name, your company, your address and your e-mail address, is requested for participation.

5.newsletter forms
Awardit offers the option of an e-mail newsletter service. Subscribers are informed at regular intervals by e-mail about new products, promotions or content relating to holidays & gifts. Only basic information, such as your name and e-mail address, is required for registration. If you have registered for one of our newsletters, your e-mail address will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time. 6. Whitepaper forms
Awardit offers the option of downloading topic-specific whitepapers on special landing pages. Subscribers to these whitepapers are informed at regular intervals by e-mail about new products, promotions or content relating to the topic of the whitepaper, as well as about Awardit products in general. Only basic information, such as your name and e-mail address, is required for registration. If you have registered for one of our newsletters by downloading a white paper, your e-mail address will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time. To unsubscribe from the mailing list, please click on the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter.

7.booking forms
On special booking websites, Awardit offers the possibility of redeeming voucher products (e.g. for hotel services, restaurant services, etc.) for the services behind the respective product. For a booking, only information that is necessary for the realisation and processing of the booking is processed. For example, your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and birthday will be requested in this context. In addition, credit card details may be requested to secure the booking. The credit card will only be forwarded to the hotel and charged in the event of a cancellation or no-show.

in the event of a chargeable booking or order with direct payment on one of our websites, the protection of your payment-related information, such as credit card details, is also a top priority for us. The entire payment process is therefore handled by a certified Austrian payment service provider, which has the best security systems and only forwards the results of the transactions to us. This procedure virtually rules out any misuse of your data. The company entrusted with payment processing is Unzer GmbH.

Personal data collected will be processed and stored exclusively within the scope of or for the purposes listed above. Awardit does not record or collect any other personal data or information that is distributed or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

Established encryption procedures and access control systems are used for the transmission and storage of personal data in order to provide the best possible protection against unauthorised access.

We only store your personal data for as long and to the extent necessary for the above-mentioned purposes or if we are legally obliged to do so.

We store personal data in our legitimate interest for as long as it is required to assert or defend against claims (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We also store personal data for as long as we are legally obliged to do so in order to fulfil our obligations to provide evidence and retain data. Corresponding proof and retention obligations arise, among other things, from the Austrian Commercial Code and the Federal Fiscal Code (Art 6 para 1 lit c GDPR).

Forwarding of data

Your personal data will only be processed by Awardit. Your data will not be passed on except for clearly defined and - within the scope of the respective processing activity used by you - absolutely necessary purposes. We may therefore pass on your personal data within the company or to corresponding partners for the following reasons, for example:

  • if the transfer is necessary for the processing of your request and this involves another company with which Awardit has a relationship (e.g. in the context of booking forms to process the booking to hotel partners); or
  • to process a request that concerns more than one member of the Awardit group of companies; or
  • if you as a visitor to this site expressly request this; or
  • if this is necessary due to a court order or other legal or supervisory regulation.
Your rights

You have the right to information, correction, objection in the case of legitimate interest, restriction and deletion of your stored data at any time. You can contact us in this matter in writing (see postal address above) or electronically(privacy@awardit.com).

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.

Use of cookies
